Hyundai Motor Company is a South Korean automotive manufacturer with its headquarters located in Seoul. It was established in 1967 and exported its first independently-made vehicle, the Pony, in 1976. The Hyundai Motor Group includes Kia Corporation, Genesis Motor, and Ioniq. The company entered India in 1996 and launched the Santro hatchback as its maiden offering in the country in 1998. The Indian subsidiary exports to around 88 countries. It now produces a range of vehicles including sedans like VERNA and ELANTRA, SUVs like VENUE, CRETA, and ALCAZAR, some hatchbacks including SANTRO and i20, as well as electric vehicles and buses.
